72 years old Gerry Turner and 70 years old Theresa Nist got married in California on the last Thursday in a special program telecasted live on ABC. The couple got hitched at La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California.
Both celebrities got engaged in the final episode of “The Golden Bachelor” in November 2023. The celebrities are very happy and excited about the new journey.
A lot of fellows from the program “The Golden Bachelor” were invited to the wedding, and they attended the marriage ceremony. The list of these celebrities includes Ryan Sutter, Trista Sutter, Ben Higgins, Jason Mesnick, Molly Mesnick and Wells Adams. The wedding was also officiated by their fellow contestant, Susan Noles.
Both stars gave each other credit for helping them believe in theirselves.
Turner said that Nist had helped him with seeing life in a new way at a time when he forgot about the famous saying of never to stop believing in one’s self.
Nist also shared her stance, saying that she has found a very kind and the most wonderful person in Turner. She called him to be a man of honour and that led to the development of feelings of love towards Turner. In her vows she said, “I do Gerry, I do love you.”
She also said that now they could have to share their love with many people around them and promised Turner to be his source of comfort in sadness and to be someone he could laugh out loud with in moments of happiness.
She said that she wants to have fun with Turner on Earth for her remaining life, even if it is for just one hour. After taking vows, they both walked down the aisle hand in hand.
After tossing the bouquet, there was a dance by the guests on the song “Don’t Stop Believein” by Journey.
“The Golden Bachelor” is a show on ABC that features citizens above the age of 65 who are in search for a partner to live happily in the remaining days of their lives. In the program, “The Bachelor”, he is played by Gerry Turner, who is a grieving widower living with the memories of his late wife.
The main lead starts to search for a way to move on and find a suitable partner from a group of attractive old ladies at the show.
