Nearly 10 years after its release, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, which was considered to be a successful mobile game, is finally coming to an end. The game, which was released by Kim Kardashian in partnership with a mobile game developer, Glu, is shutting down as the star owner wants to focus her energy on other things.

The application, that has helped Kardashian with generating millions of dollars since 2014, has already been removed from the Play Store and App Store. Kim Kardashian: Hollywood helped its users to experience virtual fame and life as a virtual celebrity. In this game, the player has to raise their character’s fame from E-level to A-level by making different choices and purchasing different items in their chosen stories. This application helps the users to purchase items to be used in the game, like clothes, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories, using virtual currency.

The game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, has done a good job and performed well in the gaming industry since its start. It helped the developers generate a revenue of more than $150 million in the first two years of its release. Real life appearances of Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner were also made in this game. The stars helped the players to have access to boutiques, clubs and posh houses in Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles and different other places.

According to Glu mobile, which is the game’s developer, the game has already been removed from the App Store on iPhones and Play Store on Android, but those players who have already installed this game can play it till 8th April 2024. After this date, the game will stop working for all users.

In a statement given by Kardashian to People Magazine, she thanked the team behind the development of the game, the users and gamers that have downloaded the game, for making the release of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood a great success. She confirmed the closure of this game herself too and said that the game community will always be inspirational for her.

Screenshots of the game are being uploaded on social media by its users which show a countdown timer to the time it will be shut down. Polygon, a gaming site, has selected Kim Kardashian: Hollywood as one of the Top 100 best games of the decade as it is specially designed for women.

The Glu developers thanked the supporters of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and assured them of being on the A-list of their company.
