Court Judgment Confirms Ariana Grande And Dalton Gomez’s Divorce

The marriage between American singer Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez has officially ended after nearly three years, as confirmed by a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment.

The 30-year-old pop star and the 28-year-old real estate broker finalized their split on Tuesday, with Grande agreeing to a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Mr. Gomez as part of their settlement.

Grande initiated the divorce process six months ago, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple’s relationship began in January 2020, shortly before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and they tied the knot in a small, private ceremony at Grande’s residence in Montecito, California, in May 2021.

As per the settlement terms, Mr. Gomez will receive half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles property, along with up to $25,000 to cover his legal expenses. Additionally, there will be no ongoing alimony payments.

Court documents reveal that Grande and Gomez separated over a year ago and had a prenuptial agreement in place. With no legal disputes and no children involved, the divorce process proceeded swiftly.

Raised in southern California, Mr. Gomez has been active in the luxury real estate market for the past decade, according to his profile on the AKG website.

The couple’s romance first became public when they were spotted kissing at a Los Angeles restaurant in February 2020. They made their debut as a couple in May of that year, appearing together in the lockdown-themed music video for Grande and Justin Bieber’s collaboration, “Stuck With U.”

Grande announced their engagement in December, sharing the news on Instagram with the caption “Forever and then some.”

Grande, a recipient of two Grammy Awards, recently released her seventh studio album, titled “Eternal Sunshine,” on March 8.

She is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the musical “Wicked,” portraying the character of Glinda the Good Witch. The cast also includes Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, Oscar-winning Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, and US actor Jeff Goldblum. The film is slated for release in November.

The news of the divorce comes after a tragic incident in 2017 when a terrorist attack occurred following Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena in the UK, resulting in the loss of 22 lives.
