Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have a new addition to their family. The couple shared the joyful news on Friday, March 22, that they have welcomed a baby boy, marking their second child. In an announcement posted on social media, they wrote, “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden.”

Accompanying their post was a photo with a caption that read, “A little bird whispered to me,” a sweet nod to their newborn’s name. They expressed their joy, saying, “He is awesome, and we are all so happy he is here!”

Although Diaz and Madden typically keep a low profile, they explained, “For the kids safety and privacy, we won’t be posting any pictures,” but assured their followers that their son is “really cute.”

Expressing gratitude, they added, “We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our family to yours.”

This isn’t the first time Diaz and Madden have shared their parenting journey. They welcomed their daughter Raddix in January 2020, announcing her birth in a similar Instagram post where they shared, “instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”

The actress and the Good Charlotte band member tied the knot in 2015.
