Sydney Couple Murder Case Unravels: Policeman Identified As Prime Suspect

Jesse Baird, 26, who was an Australian TV person, went missing along with her boyfriend, Luke Davies, 29. On Wednesday, their blood-covered possessions were discovered in a bin outside Sydney in the suburb. Since then, police have been trying frantically to find them and the reason for their disappearance.

The case progressed, with a 28-year-old police officer being charged with the murder of the missing couple. The police did a search for the ex-boyfriend of Jesse Baird, Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, after which, on Friday, he handed himself in. The bodies of the couple are yet to be located. The police have told the media that the cause of the murder is not clear yet.

According to the initial reports of the police, they have concluded that the murder took place in a suburb of Sydney, Paddington, where Baird’s house was located. After murdering the couple, the murderers moved the dead bodies to a white van.

The reports of neighbors and witnesses who have heard a “verbal argument” and some “shouting” have been received by the investigators. In CCTV footage, the rented van was seen at the crime scene. Later on, on Friday morning, the van was seen again in the south of the city.

The New South Wales Police have also found a bullet at the crime scene, along with a huge amount of blood. This bullet matched the bullet from the Beaumont Lamarre-Condon gun.

According to a report of the interview with Det Supt. Daniel Doherty, on Tuesday, Beaumont Lamarre-Condon skipped work, but his gun was safely present at the police station.

A phone, along with credit cards and blood-stained clothes, were taken into custody after being recovered from the bin present nearly 28 km away from the site of the incident.

While asking for people to contact police in case they find any evidence, Det Supt Doherty said, “It’s really important that we do locate the bodies, not only for the cause of death but for answers for the family… They are obviously devastated.” He also added that Beaumont Lamarre-Condon was going to visit Newcastle after the killings.

Det Supt. Doherty said that although the tip-offs given by the public about Beaumont Lamarre-Condon are helping in making the investigations easier, they have “not assisted” too much this far.

Many happy pictures of the couple are being shared and re-shared on social media, and people are sharing condolences for their disappearance.

Before joining the police force, Beaumont Lamarre-Condon was a celebrity blogger. He met many Hollywood actors and various singers, like Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, etc. His bail was refused by the court on Friday.
